Qualifications
The School bookkeeper must have a high school diploma or GED, working knowledge of accounting procedures, and proficiency in the use of computers and computer software (McAleer, Excel, Word, Windows, etc.). The School Bookkeeper should have demonstrated that he or she has the necessary ability, knowledge, and personal qualities to skillfully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. He or she must have a philosophy compatible with Board of Education policy and possess a personal attitude congenial with other faculty and staff.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
The position requires the use of basic office skills such as filing, typing, use of computers and software, record-keeping, and the ability to maintain organization. Bookkeepers must also be able to meet the public and build positive relationships.
SelectionThe School Bookkeeper shall be employed by the Board of Education upon recommendation by the Superintendent.

EvaluationPerformance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions for the Board's policy on evaluation of non‑certified personnel.
