Summary of Primary Functions
Manage multiple projects after the point of sale through closeout to ensure customer requirements and business plan performance objectives are met and assist in or assume the responsibility for managing this function for the division.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAll employees are required to follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment, and the production of high-quality products.
Responsible for contract review, negotiation, and execution, and for ensuring that all contract terms are complied with during the execution of the work. Monitor the project for changes for which change orders will be negotiated and executed in a timely manner per the terms of the contract.
Understand customers’ requirements as accommodated by Tindall’s proposal and create project schedules to meet said requirements with the input of the appropriate functional areas of the operation.
Maintain sufficient frequency of communication with and input from all relevant parties to ensure that project plans are being met. Effect all communication with customers in a clear and direct fashion and in a timely manner in all matters that could affect the company’s interests.
Ensure that project files are current and complete, and aid and assist in securing specific project information or materials, or any other task necessary to keep established production and field schedules intact.
Handle department budgeting and supervision as assigned; ensure that all documentation is in place to begin and continue invoicing in a timely manner and to assist in the collection of outstanding payments as required.
Facilitate meetings for the purpose of conveying necessary information and establishing the necessary plans to ensure the successful outcomes of all projects, and help ensure that the appropriate field safety and quality assurance measures are followed.
At the conclusion of every project, ensure that all close‑out documentation has been submitted and that project files are appropriately archived once final payment is made. Convene one or more project post‑mortem meetings to review the project with the appropriate functional areas for the purpose of identifying non‑conformances, root causes and appropriate corrective actions.
Job Specifications or Qualifications- Education:
4-year degree in Construction, Engineering, or Business is preferred. - Experience:
7 to 10 (+) years prior or related experience is required. - Supervisory
Experience:
4 (+) years of related supervisory experience is preferred. - This position requires ability to make independent decisions.
