About Us
Martinat French-American Learning Hub is a bilingual French–English learning center serving children ages 3–12 in Central Florida.
We provide structured after-school workshops, weekend programs, and school vacation camps in small groups, using play-based learning, active pedagogies, and emotionally safe teaching practices.
Position OverviewWe are seeking one part-time English Teacher to lead bilingual after-school workshops during the academic year. This role focuses primarily on weekday afternoon programs, with the possibility of expanded hours during school vacation camp periods.
ScheduleAcademic Year:
- Monday to Friday
- 20 teaching hours per week
School Vacation Camps (select weeks):
- Potential for temporary full-time hours during camp periods (9:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
- Lead structured bilingual workshops in English
- Work alongside a French-speaking teacher
- Adapt instruction for children ages 3–12
- Maintain a safe, organized, and professional learning environment
- Participate in lesson planning and preparation
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Linguistics, TESOL, or related field
- Preferred:
Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, or state-recognized Early Childhood/Elementary teaching certification - Experience teaching or working with children ages 3–12
- Ability to differentiate instruction across age groups and adapt pedagogical approaches
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Comfortable with play-based, student-centered, and alternative pedagogies
- Bilingual English/French candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a Level II Background Screening in accordance with Florida regulations for positions working with minors.
- Employees must comply with all applicable Florida childcare regulatory requirements, including required health clearances (such as TB screening, if applicable).
- Continued employment is contingent upon timely completion of all Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) required trainings within the legally established deadlines. All mandatory DCF training costs are covered by the employer.
- Annual gross salary starting at $30,000 (part-time position)
- Based on approximately 20 hours per week (15 teaching hours + 5 paid preparation hours)
- Equivalent hourly rate approximately $28–29/hour
- Paid preparation time included
- W-2 employee position
- Increased earning potential during full-day camp weeks
