Overview
RS&H is currently seeking a Structures Team Lead for the Moving I-4 Forward Program Office in Celebration, FL. This embedded position reports to the office five days per week.
As part of the infrastructure team, you will serve an integral role by preparing project specifications and complete project documents, analysis, and reports; analyzing and interpreting data; performing analyses of design, planning, and impact studies; cost analyses, design requirements, site selection, and limited design layouts; designing complete projects, systems, components, and/or processes; preparing project documents, engineering analysis, and reports; performing quality control reviews;
ensuring achievement of key milestones; and performing field reviews and observations of ongoing construction projects. The role may also provide technical guidance, assign tasks to junior and support staff, manage discipline and small multidisciplinary teams, and/or manage a small team of direct reports.
Serve as team expert and/or project lead; prepare project specifications, documentation, analysis, and reports.
Analyze and interpret data; perform design, planning, impact studies, cost analyses, design requirements, site selection, and limited design layouts.
Design complete projects, systems, components, and/or processes.
Perform quality control reviews and ensure achievement of key milestones.
Perform field reviews and observations of ongoing construction projects, provide technical guidance, assign tasks, manage small multidisciplinary teams, and manage direct reports.
Qualifications- Degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program and 10 years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Professional engineer in good standing.
- Knowledgeable of applicable federal, state, and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances.
- Proficient in production software and construction document production.
- Proven ability to successfully address challenging or potentially controversial issues in a sound professional and business‑like manner.
- Experience working on parts of major projects or multiple moderate-size projects, providing technical guidance to junior-level staff, reviewing others' work for technical accuracy, and participating in design and implementation of new services, processes, standards, and/or operational plans that had great impact on the achievement of functional results.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, team members, and other key stakeholders.
