GeneralSummary
Advent Health Celebration seeks to hire a Surgical Physician Assistant who will embrace our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ. The PA under the supervision of the Physician, who acts as the collaborative practitioner, is responsible for:
- Performs physical examinations of patients; evaluation and treatment of acute and chronic urologic conditions in the clinic and hospital setting.
- Treating all ages, male and female.
- Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X‑ray, etc.
- Monitors the patient's course of treatment and makes appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist.
- Collaborates with physician and staff as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff.
- Displays a caring and professional attitude at all time as well as maintaining personal and professional growth.
- Writes and/or dictates progress notes, procedure notes, histories, physical examinations, and transfers/discharge summaries in accordance with medical policies.
- Schedule is Mon‑Fri with the potential for call responsibilities as needed and occasional weekend coverage.
- Procedures performed but not limited to: cystoscopy, catheter placement and removal, first assist in robotic prostatectomies, other urologic surgical cases, UDS, and pelvic ultrasounds.

- Schedule:
Monday‑Friday, 8 am – 5 pm (four days in office, one day in the OR). - Campus:
Celebration & Lake Nona. - Holiday rotation.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, patients, parents and hospital medical staff.
- Desire to become part of a multidisciplinary thoracic surgery program.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule as evening and weekend on‑call/rounding will be required.
- Candidate must be able to successfully pass a third‑party background check and pre‑employment drug screen.
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
- At least one year of Urology experience in a surgical/hospital setting.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
- Current, valid Florida PA license.
- Certification by NCCPA.
- BLS & ACLS.
