Overview
Product Manager II – Project Hire. This is an 18-month project hire position with no guarantee of permanent placement.
At Disney Experiences Technology, we design and deliver hundreds of digital and physical products that bring Disney stories to life in unexpected ways—across theme parks, resorts, cruise ships, and beyond. The Disney Signature Experiences and Data team delivers technology solutions across Disney Cruise Line, Disney Vacation Club, Adventures by Disney, and National Geographic Expeditions, supporting guest and crew experiences, enabling commercial growth through digital platforms, and leading the segment s data strategy.
The role is on the Strategic Growth Opportunities team, supporting new technology capabilities for business expansion and innovation, and serves as a key member of the Adventures & Expeditions product team across the full product lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including technology, legal, marketing, operations, finance, creative, and other product groups to establish strategies that use technology to drive the business.
- Work with business, technology, and external vendor teams to define product strategy, develop and maintain roadmaps, define features, and establish priorities.
- Document features by translating business requirements into appropriate product artifacts (e.g., project briefs, strategy decks, user stories, acceptance criteria, go-to-market plans).
- Serve as the day-to-day product contact and point of contact for multi-phase capital and/or expense projects; participate as part of a squad to support project delivery.
- Support defect triage with technical, creative, and production teams to identify root causes, provide resolution, and escalate blockers as needed.
- Manage and prioritize Jira product backlog; provide product and scorecard updates to business and technology leadership.
- Validate work in QA and production environments to ensure completion; stay aligned with partners on business needs and roadmaps.
- Support delivery and ongoing maintenance, including product build, content configuration, on-call/incident management collaboration to ensure uptime of digital experiences.
- Drive documentation, testing, and coordination of feature launches; conduct industry research, analytics, and project logistics.
- Apply product management models and technology to create an exceptional guest experience while optimizing Cast tools in a dynamic environment.
- Minimum of 3+ years of product management or related experience.
- Experience identifying and addressing technical, user, and business issues in fast-moving environments; ability to collaborate across large matrixed organizations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels; ability to lead requirements sessions with stakeholders.
- Experience influencing others and achieving results across teams without direct authority; strategic thinking and initiative.
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority, high-visibility work streams and adapt to changing priorities.
- Flexible with documentation and processes as business needs evolve, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Experience with Agile software development and all phases of the software development lifecycle.
- Has led small to medium digital/technology projects including collaboration on estimates, scope, and plans.
- Experience using agentic AI tools and workflows (e.g., Cursor, Claude, Copilot).
- Experience with Disney digital platforms, including Adventures by Disney and National Geographic Expeditions websites, Seaware, and/or Quickbase.
- Strong understanding of consumer product design and the ability to build solutions for target user groups.
- Experience evaluating emerging technology solutions and determining fit against use cases.
- Experience with Confluence, Jira, Miro, Microsoft tools (including SharePoint), and Smartsheet; experience with Content Management Systems.
- Highly professional, organized, detail-oriented, with strong written and verbal communication across organizations.
