Manager, Portfolio Management

At Disney Experiences Technology, our team creates world‑class immersive digital experiences for the Company’s premier vacation brands including Disney’s Parks & Resorts worldwide, Disney Cruise Line, Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, and Disney Vacation Club. The Disney Experiences Technology team is responsible for the end‑to‑end digital and physical Guest experience for all technology & digital‑led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation, and Merchandise lines of business as well as other initiatives including the My Disney Experience  app and Hey, Disney!

As the Manager, Portfolio Planning & Management at Disney Experiences Technology, you will play a crucial role in creating world‑class immersive digital experiences for Disney’s premier vacation brands. You will lead the strategic roadmap, annual and long‑term capital and expense plans, and portfolio forecast planning of projects and operations. This role is essential in ensuring the organization meets its overall strategic and financial goals by collaborating with executives and aligning resources across portfolios.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the strategic roadmap, annual and long‑term capital and expense plans, and portfolio forecast planning of projects and operations.
  • Lead the Technology S/VP(s) portfolio(s), managing strategic planning, and ensuring portfolio performance aligns with financial targets.
  • Work closely with executives to communicate priorities, anticipate risks, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Foster a collaborative environment and drive the success of Disney Experiences Technology.
  • Drive S/VP portfolio level accountability to meet financial targets.
  • Lead portfolio planning, forecast, and governance for a portfolio(s) of $150M+.
  • Communicate portfolio performance for executive consumption, increasing transparency of risks and opportunities.
  • Manage plans and roadmaps for S/VP portfolios with key partners, providing deliverables for key finance milestones.
  • Deliver prioritized S/VP portfolio input to forecasts in alignment with key parameters.
  • Anticipate risks and opportunities, sharing insights and making actionable recommendations to executives.
  • Maintain a continuous view of resource demand and capacity across the portfolio, planning for leveled resource allocation.
  • Foster relationships within DX Technology finance, capital planning, sourcing, and other departments to accomplish goals.
  • Effectively communicate, including delivering difficult messages to executives, partners, and finance.
  • Inspire, motivate, and lead the team to deliver value to DX Technology.
  • Provide continuous coaching and feedback, supporting team growth and development.
  • Create an environment where Disney values are experienced, encouraging creative problem solving and ensuring everyone’s voice is heard.

Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Minimum of 8 years of portfolio/financial demand management experience.
  • Practical experience in understanding technology project/product financial analysis, financial reporting, and cause‑of‑change explanations.
  • Experience in product‑oriented organizations using agile methodologies.
  • Experience with a variety of software delivery methodologies (e.g., Agile: Scrum, Lean, etc.).
  • Practiced in project management (estimation, project planning, resource planning, issue management, risk management, change management, communication planning).
  • Strategic planning partner for key planning milestones (long‑term & annual planning).
  • Experience working with multiple technical teams and finance.
  • Excellent business communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive and solution‑oriented when managing issues.
  • Demonstrated analysis/assessment capabilities.
  • Proven mentoring and coaching abilities to ensure effective growth and development of the team.
  • MS Office proficient; strong skills in PPT/Keynote and Excel.
  • Extensive experience with industry‑standard PPM tools; CA Clarity PPM experience preferred; reporting tool(s) experience preferred.
Required Education

Bachelor’s degree required or related field/work experience. #DISNEY TECH

Compensation

The hiring range for this position in Orlando, FL is $107,300 to $147,500 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long‑term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
