Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) – Full Time Inpatient Role – Serving Advent Health Celebration.

• See patients in clinic, including new patients, post‑op, routine follow‑up.
• Perform patient histories and physical exams in office and hospital settings.
• Conduct telehealth visits.
• Assist attending surgeons, often supporting several surgeons in a single practice.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as labs and imaging.
• Monitor patient course of treatment and make referrals to other specialists as needed.
• First assist with surgeries (Sleeve Gastrectomy, Roux‑en‑y Gastric Bypass, bariatric surgery revisions).
• Collaborate with physician supervisor to provide consistent care and support staff.
• Display a caring and professional attitude.
• Post‑op: write orders in recovery room, communicate with family, perform post‑op procedures.
• Discharge planning: write discharge summaries, prescriptions, explain instructions, confirm follow‑up appointments.
• Document in a timely and thorough manner.

• Main location:
  Advent Health Celebration.
• Schedule:
  
  Monday – Friday.
• Call and weekend responsibility.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and patients.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong medical decision‑making skills.
• Bilingual or fluent in Spanish considered a plus.

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Nursing with RNFA certification.
• 1‑3 years of experience as a first assist in bariatric surgery or general surgery (preferred).

• Current, valid Florida APRN or PA license.
• ANCC, NCCPA (or equivalent) certification.
• Current, valid DEA license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Surgical First Assist RNFA.
