Position: K-6 School Counselor

Position Type: Student Services/ Guidance Counselor

• Provide individual and group counseling focused on academic guidance, career planning, and social-emotional development.
• Assist students in goal-setting and healthy choices.
• Identify and support students facing personal, social, or academic challenges.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success.
• Facilitate programs on topics such as conflict resolution, mental health, substance abuse prevention, and career exploration.
• Facilitate tasks that are state requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with all state and federal regulations regarding student information.
• Participate in school and district committees to promote a positive school climate and student well-being.

• Valid Ohio School Counselor License.
• Strong understanding of adolescent development and evidence-based counseling practices.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Experience with academic planning, career counseling, and social-emotional support preferred.
