Full time for the school year.
As a member of the Mercer County ESC Teaching and Learning team, the Curriculum Coordinator provides support and leadership to districts in the areas of curriculum, instruction, assessment, professional learning, and continuous improvement. Through high-quality cooperative services, this position works collaboratively with educators and administrators to positively impact the diverse needs of students, staff, and communities while supporting growth, innovation, and student success.
EssentialDuties
- Work collaboratively as a member of the Teaching and Learning team at Mercer County Educational Service Center.
- Support districts in curriculum, instruction, assessment, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build collaborative partnerships with district administrators, teachers, and ESC staff to provide responsive, customized support aligned with district goals and priorities.
- Stay informed on current educational trends, Ohio initiatives, instructional practices, curriculum developments, and emerging technologies to support effective district implementation.
- Coordinate and support the development, alignment, and implementation of curriculum, instruction, and assessment systems.
- Assist districts in analyzing and interpreting local and state assessment data to inform instructional planning, student achievement efforts, and continuous improvement processes.
- Provide guidance and support related to state testing, assessment systems, readiness reporting, and data-informed instructional practices.
- Support districts in implementing evidence-based instructional practices, high-quality instructional materials, and Ohio learning standards.
- Design, facilitate, and support professional learning opportunities for teachers, instructional staff, and administrators.
- Provide instructional coaching, classroom support, modeling, and professional guidance to educators, including instructional rounds and collaborative instructional support processes.
- Assist with educational in-services, district training, conference sessions, and professional development initiatives.
- Support districts in evaluating and implementing innovative instructional practices, digital learning strategies, and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence tools and resources.
- Represent Mercer County ESC and member districts at local, regional, and state meetings, committees, and initiatives.
- Maintain active involvement with educational leaders and professional organizations at the local, state, regional, and national levels.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn, grow professionally, and remain current on educational trends, instructional practices, curriculum development, and state initiatives.
- Preference may be given to candidates with expertise in mathematics instruction, curriculum, assessment, intervention, and evidence-based instructional practices.
