At Versa Pak, we manufacture custom plastic packaging for food and other consumer industries. Our company started in March 1986 as a small manufacturer, and continued growth led us to build our new manufacturing facility and warehouse at 500 Staeger Road, Celina, Ohio.

As we are known for our in-house promotions and advancement, a line operator is an entry-level position with the opportunity of a great career. We are also currently looking for high-output candidates offering higher pay. We have both full- and part-time positions available. Versa Pak has a 12-hour rotating schedule that allows for days off during the week!

Versa Pak recently expanded our facility by an additional 56,000 square feet. We're currently hiring the best candidates for multiple positions for our growing company. Hourly Pay: $20.00
Shift Length: 12-hour shifts
Schedule: Work only 15 days a month with our rotating 2,2,3 schedule!

General

Purpose:

The high output operator produces higher volume of product in an hour compared to other lines and is responsible for the manufacturing, processing and packaging for all products at a very high pace. Personnel must reflect the company’s core values of ethics and dependability, work effectively in a team environment and do what it takes to get the job done and strive for personal improvement.

This individual will be quick to adapt and willing to learn.

General Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

• Operate extrusion line(s) properly and appropriately.
• Assure quality of the film being produced meets the company standards and customer specifications.
• Assure the line is manned at all times to consistently monitor proper film production.
• Maintain a clean working environment throughout the day.
• Respond quickly and appropriately when there is a nonconformance with the product or when the line is down.
• Adhere to the company's food safety policies and procedures.

Job Tasks:

• Perform physical testing of film properties and make sure they are within Versa Pak's standards and customer specifications.
• Assure all packaging and skid sheets are to Versa Pak's standards and customer specifications.
• Assure the final product is clean and free of debris before packaging and placed neatly and securely onto the skid for shipment.
• Fill out all paperwork, logs and data entry properly, timely and orderly.
• Keep working area clean and free of debris before, during and after each shift.
• Assure that all policies, procedures and directives are consistently followed.
• Complete the Line Operators Daily Task List as assigned by the shift supervisor.

Knowledge and

Skills:

• Must be able to read a tape measure.
• Must be trainable and willing to learn.
• Must be motivated and detail-focused with good organizational and cleaning skills.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work on your feet.
