About the Position
We are currently seeking a dependable and skilled Property Maintenance Technician to join our team. Work will be performed at Boardwalk Village, Shipyard, Fairway Place Apartments, and other Bruns locations as necessary. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get started in their career. They will need to assist our team with day‑to‑day upkeep, preventative maintenance, and repair tasks for both our apartment communities and commercial properties.
The ideal candidate must have some knowledge and a desire to grow their experience with basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance. This is a full‑time opportunity that expects to average approximately 40 hours per week. Our ideal applicant will be self‑motivated, service oriented, and eager to learn from our experienced crew. We want someone who takes pride in their work because the results will be seen by the general public, our guests, and tenants.

8‑hour shifts (flexible schedule may include weekends and on‑call)
Responsibilities- Assist with keeping property safe, clean and organized
- Perform routine maintenance (e.g., plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting) under the direction of a team member
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and guests
- Perform inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment and systems as experience grows
- Prepare vacant units/rooms for new tenants or guests
- Maintain exterior areas (parking lots, walkways, landscaping, trash removal)
- Assist with emergency repairs during off‑hours when on‑call
- Lawn, flowerbed, shrubbery and tree care (includes mowing, weed control, hedge clipping, trimming and pruning, application of fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides as needed, and possibly mulching)
- Check trash and empty if needed
- Check fire rings, grills, hot tubs and pools
- Other duties as assigned by management

Skills and Abilities
- Safety is paramount. Must have a safe driving and work history.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Some understanding and familiarity with HVAC systems, basic electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
- Ability to be covered under company driver’s insurance to operate company vehicles.
- Ability to prioritize tasks assigned while working independently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to lift 50 or more pounds.
