Utility​/Pipe Layer Position

The Utility / Pipe Layer is responsible for the installation of underground utility systems including sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and waterlines. This role plays a critical part in ensuring projects are completed efficiently, accurately, and safely.

• Install underground utilities including storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and waterline piping
• Perform trench work, pipe laying, and back filling operations
• Set grades using lasers and other leveling equipment
• Assist with deep sewer installations
• Perform site restoration including grading, seeding, and surface repairs
• Assist with or perform concrete work such as sidewalks, curbs, and flatwork as needed
• Work alongside operators and laborers to complete projects on schedule
• Follow all OSHA and company safety standards
• Maintain clean and organized job sites
• Identify and work safely around existing underground utilities

• Prior experience in underground utility construction or pipe laying preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and grade stakes
• Knowledge of trench safety and excavation practices
• Experience working in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor daily
• Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus)
• Strong work ethic and team-oriented mindset
