POSITION OVERVIEWAs a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will play a critical role in keeping our equipment running and job ready. That means diagnosing issues, making repairs the right way, and staying ahead of maintenance so crews can keep moving.
This position includes both shop work and field service using a service truck. You’ll work on a wide range of equipment, from tractors and farm machinery to excavators, loaders, and trucks. Supporting a fleet of more than 200 pieces of equipment, this role offers variety and the opportunity to take ownership in keeping equipment running right.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDiagnose and repair equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, trucks, tractors, and farm machinery.
Perform preventative maintenance and detailed inspections.
Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Maintain accurate service and maintenance records.
Support both farm and job site equipment needs.
Travel as needed with a service truck for field repairs.
Follow company safety standards and take care of equipment.
EQUIPMENT & WORK ENVIRONMENTYou’ll work on a modern, well-maintained fleet across both agricultural and excavation operations—handling a wide range of equipment and real‑world troubleshooting.
Clean, organized shop with updated tools, equipment, and dedicated bays.
Mix of shop and field work—diagnosing and repairing equipment where it’s needed.
Opportunity to work across a fleet of 200+ pieces of equipment.
Fleet includes excavators, dozers, loaders, dump trucks, and support equipment.
Underground utility, directional drilling, and site development machinery.
Advanced agricultural equipment, including tractors and precision systems.
QUALIFICATIONS2+ years of experience working on heavy equipment (construction and/or agricultural equipment preferred).
Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
Ability to diagnose and repair issues independently.
Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
Valid driver’s license required (CDL is a plus; training available).
Reliable, self‑motivated, and takes pride in doing the job right.
Candidates with a set of personal hand tools for the trade preferred.
