CV Resources is seeking a Transaction Tax Analyst to join a team in Centennial, CO. We are looking for a tax professional to join a dynamic and collaborative finance team focused on indirect tax compliance and reporting. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, analytical, and eager to expand their tax knowledge in a high-volume, multi-state environment. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing responsibilities independently while also partnering with colleagues across multiple departments.
This role supports a broad range of transactional tax activities and contributes to ongoing process enhancements, compliance initiatives, and audit support efforts. The team embraces technology, automation, and continuous improvement to efficiently manage complex compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit indirect tax returns, including sales and use tax and other transaction-based tax filings
- Coordinate tax payments and ensure timely completion of filing obligations
- Assist with monthly close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Prepare and maintain various regulatory filings, registrations, permits, renewals, and reporting requirements
- Review products, services, or transactions to determine appropriate tax treatment
- Support state and local tax audits through documentation gathering, analysis, and implementation of findings
- Research tax regulations, compliance requirements, and legislative developments affecting business operations
- Monitor tax rate and rule changes across multiple jurisdictions
- Investigate and resolve tax notices, assessments, and filing discrepancies
- Partner with accounting, finance, and operational teams to ensure proper tax reporting and compliance
- Maintain documentation and internal controls in accordance with applicable compliance standards
- Assist with tax technology initiatives, process improvements, and automation efforts
- Participate in special projects and additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required;
Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred - Approximately 2+ years of experience in transactional tax, indirect tax, or accounting
- Familiarity with tax technology solutions, reporting systems, or data analysis tools is a plus
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
