Job DescriptionThe National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA) is the nation’s oldest and largest national organization representing America’s cattle farmers and ranchers. NCBA is producer-directed and consumer-focused, which creates a unique opportunity to unify policy and marketing efforts for the beef industry. This posting will be open from July 1st, 2026 and close on Friday, October 16, 2026.
Position: Cattle Industry Convention Intern
Location: Nashville, Tennessee
Time Period: January 31 – February 5, 2027
Cattle Industry Convention and NCBA Trade Show interns are vital to the success of the largest annual meeting in the U.S. beef cattle industry. Our intern positions provide a unique opportunity for students to gain first‑hand experience and to interact with leaders from every segment of the cattle and beef industry.
Intern General Responsibilities- Provide assistance to producers and exhibitors at registration.
- Set up the arena prior to the convention and tear it down.
- Assist with a wide range of responsibilities, including working with convention exhibitors, supporting Cattlemen’s College speakers and attendees, working with the PAC Auction, welcoming attendees at the NCBA booth, helping with youth contests and other general duties as required.
- Meet the needs of attendees with the help of NCBA staff members, ensuring the comfort of attendees at the convention and trade show.
- Help producers with their social media and contribute to NCBA social accounts.
- Minimum Junior-level college student at an accredited university (must be registered for and currently attend college) (Senior-level and graduate students are encouraged to apply.)
- Must be available to work February 1 - 5, 2027, in Nashville, Tennessee. (Transportation to/from Nashville is not provided.)
- Must have a background in the cattle and/or beef industry.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Housing based on double occupancy.
- Excellent opportunity to network with industry stakeholders throughout the beef industry.
