Childcare Lead Preschool & Pre-K Teacher

Overview

Willows Child Learning Center Homestead is a licensed childcare center seeking Lead Teachers to support the following age groups:
Preschool & Pre-K.

• High school diploma or GED, CDA or higher
• Ability to pass all required background checks
• Previous childcare experience is a plus

Required Shift: Monday - Friday

Compensation: $20 - $23 per hour, based on education and experience

• Prepare developmentally appropriate lesson plans one week in advance using current curriculum guides
• Implement lesson plans/curriculum weekly, cover all areas of child development, and maintain the classroom schedule/daily routine; use the parent communication app efficiently
• Establish a professional rapport with each family to provide quality care
• Ensure the safety and well-being of each child, respond to emotional needs, and maintain an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom
• Maintain child assessments and portfolios, and conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences in November and May
• Physical ability to work around small children (sitting, standing, walking, running, climbing stairs)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and fulfill all physical requirements of the role
• Carry out daily classroom responsibilities related to child care
