Glacier provides design review, permitting, and construction of water and wastewater treatment plants for customers along the Front Range including Northern and Southern Colorado, as well as the mountain regions and the Western Slope.
SummaryThe Project Engineer supports project personnel in the planning, coordination, and execution of water and wastewater construction projects. This position ensures projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget by assisting with administrative, technical, and field support tasks. The Project Engineer works closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and owners to facilitate smooth project operations.
Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Project Administration- Assist with pre-construction activities, including project plans, bid packages, and document setup.
- Develop and maintain submittal logs and warranty/O&M documentation.
- Prepare, review, and track Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Maintain project filing systems and documentation control.
- Draft and distribute meeting minutes.
- Generate and maintain project closeout documents.
- Review and verify job cost status reports; assist with change order pricing and documentation.
- Track and update project schedules, including supplemental schedules for deliveries and subcontractor work.
- Review subcontractor pay applications for accuracy and compliance.
- Document project progress with weekly photos and daily reporting.
- Assist the Superintendent in monitoring jobsite quality, safety, and cleanliness.
- Walk jobsite daily to review conditions and progress.
- Coordinate with subcontractors regarding administrative and technical requirements.
- Document verbal agreements or conversations with project stakeholders.

- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 1–5 years of construction experience, preferably in water/wastewater or heavy civil projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction documents, scheduling, and cost reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with project management software (e.g., Procore, Sage Intacct, Bluebeam) a plus.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be willing to travel as required.
- Job responsibilities require both office and fieldwork.
- Ability to walk construction sites, climb stairs/ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Work may be performed in varying weather conditions.
