Energy Storage Estimator , II

• Gather, calculate, and compile data to produce project estimates
• Prepare full estimates for smaller projects
• Create project estimates
• Complete quantity takeoffs and summations of materials
• Solicit trade partners, obtain bid estimates and time projections, and prepare vendor proposal comparisons and estimate summary sheets
• Prepare, organize, and coordinate Request for Proposal documents and schedules
• Use schedule information to estimate General Contractor and other schedule-driven items
• Determine pricing options and appropriate project pricing
• Support lead estimator with data input into estimating software
• Perform archive filing and historical cost data gathering
• Participate in plan and estimate review meetings, project review meetings, and site investigations as needed
• Gather information from local government and private entities affecting projects, including permits and hearings
• Manage addendum logs and customer/client documents
• Provide direction to new estimators and engineers
• Solicit new bidders and gather documents for future projects
• May train other estimators and interns

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Estimating, Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering, or similar, or equivalent experience/field experience
• Estimator I: minimum one-year construction operations experience, including exposure to materials management and project operations
• Estimator II: minimum three years’ construction operations experience, including exposure to materials management and project operations
• Current driver’s license
• Applicable mathematical skills
• Familiarity with building/estimating techniques and software: ISqFt, ICE/Bid2

• Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks
• Proven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills
• Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies
• Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Construction industry experience preferred

Demonstrates expertise in project estimation, including quantity takeoffs, vendor proposal comparisons, and the use of estimating software. Possesses strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and a solid understanding of construction operations and materials management.
