Overview

Rocky Vista University in Englewood, CO, invites a Principal Faculty Member for the Physician Assistant Program (Full‑Time). The position offers a salary range of $102,727 to $130,000 per year, determined by experience and faculty rank, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes a 401(k), health, dental and vision insurance, two weeks of accrued paid vacation, 12 sick days, personal days, 13½ paid holidays, and a 401(k) match up to 7% of employee contribution.

Responsibilities

This position is a 1.0 FTE with the following responsibilities:

  • Teaching (50–55% FTE):
    Develop and deliver lectures and practice instruction to PA students; facilitate small groups; use interactive delivery methods including simulation; update curriculum in line with accreditation standards; administer competency‑based assessments; provide academic advising and mentorship; participate in curriculum development, review, and assessment for the PA program.
  • Program and Institutional Service (15% FTE):
    Attend faculty meetings, committees, and program‑related activities; contribute to student recruitment, application evaluation, and admissions processes; participate in program‑level assessment; serve on institutional committees; engage with state, regional, and national organizations to promote PA education.
  • Scholarship (10% FTE):
    Conduct scholarly activities, research, and professional development related to PA education; maintain current knowledge and skills in PA education, accreditation, and practice.
  • Administrative (10% FTE):
    Ensure compliance with ARC‑PA accreditation; prepare accreditation documentation; support accreditation‑related assessment; implement accreditation recommendations and continuous quality improvement.
  • Clinical Practice (Optional, up to 10% FTE):
    Engage in clinical practice (approx. half day per week if program needs allow); enhance teaching relevance; serve as a clinical preceptor.

Perform other duties as assigned and support the mission of the program and the university.
