Physical Education K-5 Teacher (Part Time - 0.4 FTE) for the 2026/2027 school year.

• Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
• Engage students in an inquiry-based delivery model of instruction.
• Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities.
• Use a wide range of instructional strategies and technologies to meet the needs of a diverse student population.
• Consider equitable resources and equitable instructional practices to meet the needs of all students.
• Update and maintain records as required by law, district policies and school regulations.
• Create and maintain a safe learning environment for all students.
• Demonstrate effective behavior management techniques appropriate for all students, including those with disabilities.
• Maintain discipline in accordance with building expectations and the district student code of conduct.
• Communicate progress and needs to students, colleagues and parents.
• Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLC).
• Create formative assessments aligned to district curriculum.
• Analyze student data from formative and summative assessments to drive differentiated instruction and data-based decisions.
• Utilize current technology to enhance student learning.

• Illinois Teaching License with appropriate endorsements and certifications.
• Knowledge of instructional strategies, best practices in teaching and assessment, and state/national standards.
• Ability to organize and maintain student records, including grade books.
• Strong communication skills with students, parents and school stakeholders.
• Ability to develop relationships with students and parents.

• Compensation Range: $47,203 - 99,323 per year. Placement on the salary schedule is based on verified, comparable education and experience.

Moderate in-district travel; intermittent in-state and out-of-state travel. Intermittent prolonged and irregular hours of work. This position involves standard physical requirements typical for a PE teacher.
