Qualifications & Desired

Experience:

• Valid teaching license with Special Education endorsement (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience working with high school students in special education settings preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Creative approach to individualized instruction and classroom management
• Adaptable mindset and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
• Ability to adapt lesson plans and strategies to meet unique student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to high school students based on IEPs and individual learning goals
• Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to a range of abilities, ensuring accessibility for all students
• Collect and monitor student progress, updating IEPs as required
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, counselors, and support staff
• Communicate regularly with families, sharing progress and working together to address challenges
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
• Maintain required documentation and compliance in accordance with school policies and regulations
• Foster a classroom atmosphere in which every student feels valued and encouraged to reach their full potential
