Lawrence Elementary is a neighborhood school with a focus on supporting the whole child by providing a nurturing learning environment, rich with rigorous academic expectations.

We serve students from Kindergarten through 5th grade and receive Title I dollars due to having a large percentage of our students qualifying for Free and Reduced lunch. We use these funds to provide students and families with three full-time mental health personnel, a full-time Digital Teacher Librarian and abundant classroom technology.

Together We Can, Together We Will! We are a Professional Learning Community and have created structures to maximize time for collaboration. Once a week, grade level teams work together for 95 minutes to plan and reflect in order to best meet the needs of their students. Additionally, teachers are expected to collaborate with all interventionists, mental health staff, the DTL, literacy specialist, coach and administration.

We have systemically implemented HMH Into Reading and Illustrative Math as our primary curricular resources. We utilized Orton-Gillingham, Voyager Passport, Lexia, Zearn and Really Great Reading as supplemental resources. We anchor to the Colorado Academic Standards and work to ensure that students are motivated to collaborate and learn in creative ways.
