This is a full‑time on‑site role for an Application Engineer at our Headquarters in Centennial, CO.
We are looking for a knowledgeable and skilled Application Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities- Provide technical support to both internal and external customers, emphasizing value creation through product and industry knowledge.
- Manage workflow and communicate with managers to meet internal and external deadlines, employing a "Quote to Win" strategy for quotations and proposals.
- Apply product‑specific technical expertise to customer applications, maintaining a consistent focus on new product initiatives, technologies, and sales concepts while managing gross profit margins.
- Deliver technical assistance to external and internal customers for their process control solutions needs.
- Execute Applied Control's overall business strategy and initiatives through interactions at various levels with customers and vendors.
- Provide internal sales and technical support to account managers and outside sales specialists, exhibiting teamwork and effective communication.
- Understand and effectively communicate customer needs and business issues to colleagues, positioning Applied Control as a trusted advisor.
- Develop expertise in the application of all final control element products and solutions, delivering quality solutions and services across industries.
- Support customer activities including responding to telephone and email requests, delivering product knowledge and support, and negotiating terms and conditions.
- Work independently and as part of a team; extensive phone and email communications with customers are expected.
- Limited travel may apply; short, out‑of‑town paid training sessions are required.
- Strong technical background.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Highly effective at building long‑term relationships.
- Entrepreneurial work ethic.
- A college degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial) strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Office products and industry‑related software tools such as sizing, application, and quotation tools, and Windows OS.
- Ability to read and understand process and instrumentation drawings (P&’s) and to match customer instrumentation and final control specifications to properly applied products.
- Great problem‑solving skills.
Base Wage Range: $70,000 – $100,000. Prior work or industry experience, as well as job‑related education and unique skills, will be considered when setting the wage rate.

Eligible for an annual profit share award based on company performance.
