Position OverviewWe are looking for an Engineering Technician to join our R&D group to help develop world‑class solutions as they utilize their skills and experience to create, assemble, troubleshoot and test products involving electrical and mechanical disciplines during the development of new products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Assemble and solder surface mount and through‑hole components to circuit boards used in engineering prototypes, development samples, and custom products.
- Assemble prototype chassis and align optical systems during the early stages of product development.
- Utilize engineering hardware and software to program and calibrate new and existing products.
- Troubleshoot returned product, document findings, and repair to working order.
- Support product and system qualification testing of electro‑mechanical products prior to production release.
- Perform evaluation of returned goods and support sustaining engineering activities.
- Participate in product design reviews and support creation of test procedures.
- Keep the engineering lab in good working order.
- Other duties as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Electronic technical degree a plus.
- Strong, demonstrable soldering skills with thru‑hole and surface mount components.
- Experience assembling wiring harnesses involving cables and connectors, up to fine pitches.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, comfortable working with small electrical and mechanical components.
- Background working with products that incorporate a mix of mechanical, electrical, firmware and software technologies.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Teams, Outlook; MS Excel and Word skills also desired.
- Aptitude for setting up and running a variety of test equipment, e.g., thermal chambers.
- Comfortable taking qualitative and quantitative measurements and interpreting the results.
- Competence with summarizing technical information in the form of a report.
- Highly desired to have experience with schematic capture and layout tools, such as Altium.
- Qualified individuals must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Work in a lab environment as well as outside in various weather conditions to conduct tests on new and revised products while walking, standing, lifting, climbing, sitting, seeing, and hearing.

Full‑time nonexempt position. Minimum pay $23.00 per hour, with possibility of higher rate based on qualifications. Eligible for all LTI benefits including employer‑paid medical, life, and disability; dental, vision, 401(k) with a match, and more. Eligible for bonuses and additional compensation forms.
