As our Lead Application Engineer, you will guide a growing team, drive engineering quality, and lead the design of complex wastewater treatment systems that make a measurable difference in the world.
What you’ll be doing :Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, manage, and grow a team of application engineers, ensuring adherence to internal best practices and fostering a collaborative and high‑performing team environment.
- Build and refine engineering processes and tools to ensure accuracy, consistency, and scalability across all deliverables.
- Facilitate cross‑departmental communication to ensure project alignment and success.
- Manage all application engineering task assignments and workflows, driving continuous improvement and accountability.
- Drive a highly responsive culture to customers, providing accurate, comprehensive, and timely information.
- Lead the engineering of multiple complex projects, ensuring they meet the requirements of all internal and customer specifications.
- Perform necessary wastewater process calculations to design treatment systems.
- Selection and sizing of all equipment for proposed solutions.
- Work closely with sales to understand project requirements and specific customer needs.
- Work closely with the internal R&D team to increase efficient hand‑offs and provide critical insight to assist in developing next‑generation wastewater products and process technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
- 8+ years of engineering experience, with direct experience in the water/wastewater industry.
- Ability to understand technical requirements, including mechanical and electrical systems.
- A builder: comfortable with ambiguity, biased toward action, with a strong process‑focused mindset.
- A continuous learner with an insatiable curiosity who brings life experience and a go‑getter, ownership mentality to work daily.
- A natural sense of ownership and accountability – you see gaps and fix them.
- Strong analytical reasoning and critical thinking.
- Numerical aptitude, and complex problem solving.
This is an onsite role based in Centennial, CO, remote opportunity available for highly qualified applicants.
- Work is performed in an office environment.
- Requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
- Must have the ability to lift and carry small parcels, packages and other items.
- Ability to perform sedentary work and to sit for extended periods, with occasional standing, walking, and reaching as needed to perform typical office tasks.
- Ability to safely move through a warehouse setting, including intermittent standing, walking, reaching, and handling light materials or equipment as needed.
