Job Description
This position is fully onsite in Centennial, CO with no ability to work hybrid or from home. The role requires unrestricted employment authorization and a minimum age of 18. The successful candidate must be willing and available to work any shift, including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays, to meet the needs of a 24x7/365 operation. The incumbent will also be required to view all content, including mature material.
Responsibilities- Maintain and manipulate on‑air playlists, execute program, commercial, and marketing changes, and support live‑event and contingency workflows using software such as SNELL Morpheus and Amagi.
- Execute seamless program, commercial, and marketing changes and provide support for live events and contingency workflows.
- Take ownership of commercial integration, ensuring flawless rolling of commercial breaks during both taped and live programming.
- Contribute to a team that monitors and maintains 150+ channel streams, ensuring continuous availability and identifying any inconsistencies with keen attention to detail.
- Guarantee the continuity of programming by meticulously confirming the readiness of every piece of material for on‑air playout.
- Act as the last line of defense for internal clients and stations, swiftly responding to any on‑air discrepancies with situational awareness and quick decision‑making skills.
- Protect our airwaves by meticulously simulating the viewer experience, constantly checking for proper audio, video, captioning, and picture quality.
- Collaborate with Operation Supervisors and work as a cohesive team to promptly recover from any on‑air discrepancies.
- Act as a mentor and subject‑matter expert by contributing and supporting ongoing 1:1 peer‑to‑peer training.
- Perform all other duties to support the success of the Network Operations Center as assigned by manager and follow company rules and policies.
- High School Diploma and relevant certification or Associate’s Degree in Media or Communications, or equivalent professional experience in broadcast, digital, or post‑production roles.
- Solid understanding of television production, broadcast operations, and/or news/sports/entertainment technical production requirements.
- Prior professional experience working in master control or a production control room.
- Ability to maintain composure and make quick decisions in high‑pressure situations.
- Ability to adapt to new and changing workflows and software implementations.
- Acute attention to detail and ability to cross‑reference and identify inconsistencies, coupled with the ability to anticipate and report potential issues and concerns proactively.
- Ability to multi‑task and balance numerous priorities in a deadline‑oriented environment.
- Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proven experience working collaboratively with others, who is always respectful and maintains a positive attitude.
- Punctual, hardworking, disciplined, and dependable individual.
- Fluency or proficiency in Spanish is a definite plus.
