Family Nurse Practitioner​/Physician Assistant Button Family Practice

This is an opportunity to become a part of an established rural health, primary care, family practice located in Canon City, Colorado. Dr. Button and his wife Jennifer (also a PA) established Button Family Practice, P.C. over 22 years ago. We maintain a great reputation for quality genuine care throughout our community.

We currently have a professional team of FNP's and PA's and are looking to add to our clinic.

Duties include:

evaluation and management of family medical issues for all ages. Pediatrics and geriatrics are approx. 40% of our patient caseload. Young adults make up the majority of our patients. Applicant will maintain his or her own patients.

Patient visits are strictly in-person, scheduled visits in clinic. No telemedicine or hospital rounds and no call. No walk-in visits or urgent care, though many same-day appointments remain available for current clients to be seen should they call to schedule

The office is open Monday through Saturday, from 8 am until 8 pm on weekdays and 8 am until 4 pm on Saturdays. At least one evening per week and one Saturday shift per month are required for this position.

Pay is based upon hours available to see patients on-site, not productivity. Clinicians enjoy exceptional support from clerical staff, other medical professionals, and management. Our clinic is physician-owned and focuses on quality, evidence-based patient care. Controlled-substance prescribing is only done on an exceptional basis. We still use paper charting for a better patient experience and documentation efficiency. We utilize a robust Practice Management software for all scheduling and patient demographics.

We cover your malpractice, equipment, uniform (lab coat), DEA registration, and licensing expenses. CME expenses may be reimbursed on a case-by-case basis.

Our medical professionals work cooperatively on site, providing mutual support throughout the work day. We do a variety of primary care procedures on site, and have the capacity to teach the same.
