Job Description:- Assist Revenue Integrity with surgical and anesthesia charge issues.
- Act as charge champion for Surgical Services, managing daily billing reconciliation.
- Review work queues for account revenue and usage accuracy.
- Serve as a resource for clinical documentation and charge reconciliation.
- Perform OR chart documentation audits for accuracy.
- Review previous day’s cases for warnings or errors.
- Coordinate with nursing, materials management, pharmacy, and IT to resolve documentation and supply/implant charge issues.
- Collaborate with supply chain on one‑time use items and inventory management.
- Review and evaluate enhancement requests from clinical departments for appropriateness.
- Participate in planning, design, testing, and implementation of clinical information systems.
- Develop and maintain reports for process improvement, budget tracking, and leadership review.
- Maintain logs and dashboards (implants, tissue, procedures, Track Core, wasted implant reports).
- Oversee surgery scheduling processes, including block booking and preference cards; supervise schedulers.
- Attend councils, meetings, and assist AVP/Director with presentations and data interpretation.
- Other duties as assigned by AVP/Director of Surgical Services.
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. [Required]
- Ability to use various instruments, machines, tools, equipment, applications such as word and excel, and other work aids as necessary to perform job duties. [Required]
- Understands and supports AHS-IS Corporate Clinical Information System Standards. [Required]
- Computer proficiency [Required]
- Leadership and Clinical Practice Knowledge – Provides leadership for the effective and efficient operation of assigned unit. Assures clinical practice is of the highest quality. [Required]
- Communication and Relationship Building – Utilizes relationship in influencing behaviors on the unit. [Required]
- Previous management skills a plus [Preferred]
- Working knowledge of surgical services [Preferred]
- Associate of Nursing [Required]
- Bachelors of Nursing [Preferred]
- N/A
- 3+ years of experience with information systems or related role and in an acute care hospital setting [Required]
- Hospital management experience [Preferred]
- 5+ years in Surgical Services setting [Preferred]
