Pharmacy Technician (Urgent

Position Summary:

• Track lab data and narcotic prescriptions and process patient prescription refills under the direct approval and supervision of the pharmacist.
• Assist the pharmacist in obtaining authorization for pharmacy services as requested; validate insurance coverage and communicate with patients.
• Gather information for the initial admission of new patients and review all new charts to ensure that all necessary nursing paperwork is included.
• Manage the schedule for patient deliveries, manage inventory, create and maintain supply templates in the pharmacy computer database.
• Document all supply management activities in the patient medical record.
• Participate in on‑call rotation as indicated by staffing and business needs.

• Product preparation and compounding of sterile products, maintaining the pharmacy clean room suite to 797 requirements.
• Documentation of IV admixture and clean room suite sterility testing.
• Complete order entry and refills under the supervision of the pharmacist.
• Inventory management and storage, complete appropriate documentation such as labels, log sheets and reports.
• Participate in on‑call rotation as indicated by staffing and business needs.

• At least 6 months of experience as a pharmacy technician coordinating activities in an administrative support function.
• National pharmacy technician certification (PTCB). Eligible for state registration, certification, or licensure per state regulations.
• Advanced computer skills including word processing and spreadsheet utilization.
• Excellent customer service skills (written and verbal) a must.
