Whatyou’ll do
- Lead application engineering, programming, troubleshooting, start‑up and check‑out of assigned installed projects, primarily larger and more complex.
- Serve as the technical support contact for our customers and maximize satisfaction with installed Fire, Security, and/or Building Automation Systems.
- Install, configure and support LAN, WAN and Internet systems or network segments.
- Maintain network hardware and software; monitor IT systems for availability and perform necessary maintenance.
- Provide custom systems integrations, detailed upgrade planning and execution, system audits and consultation, and database management for Electronic Security Systems (ESS).
- Handle larger and more complex projects and perform other duties as requested.
- Basic programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems.
- Solid knowledge of engineering principles related to building automation, fire alarm and electronic security systems.
- Advanced mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g., use of hand and power tools).
- Customer focus and ability to work under pressure, independently meeting customer needs.
- Experience with SQL queries, Power Shell and other script‑based tasks. Knowledge of programming languages and application creation a plus.
- Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Solid organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Education: College degree, trade school or equivalent experience
Minimum Experience: 3‑5 years in computer network installation and maintenance in electronic, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation industries
Preferred Experience: Certifications in any of the following systems:
Genetec, Lenel
S2, Milestone, AMAG, Software House, Avigilon, Valcom, Axis, Verkada, Brivo

Compensation: The expected compensation range for this opening is between $27/hr to $40/hr, depending on experience. Salary may vary by location and role.
