Job Overview

At ULA, the Oracle/PL SQL Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing database‑driven solutions within a fast‑paced Agile environment. This role focuses on building and maintaining robust Oracle‑based applications through advanced SQL scripting and PL/SQL development, while ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.

The developer plays a key role in database tuning, performance optimization, and supporting Oracle version upgrades and in‑memory configurations. Working collaboratively with cross‑functional teams, the position involves analyzing production issues, enhancing existing code, and developing new solutions aligned with business requirements. The Oracle / PL SQL Developer will also contribute to CI/CD processes using tools like Git and Jenkins, and leverage Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting to support database operations.

Strong communication and problem‑solving skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize Oracle PL/SQL solutions for production and development environments.
• Perform Oracle version upgrades and manage in‑memory configurations.
• Administer database connection settings and ensure optimal performance.
• Analyze and tune database performance and conduct optimization analyses.
• Use Git and Jenkins for CI/CD integration of database changes.
• Work in Linux/Unix environments and develop shell scripts with Oracle calls.
• Collaborate with business and application teams to understand requirements.
• Investigate production issues and develop remediation plans.
• Communicate findings and recommended solutions to stakeholders.

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field from an accredited college or university.

Required Years of Experience

Minimum of 6 years of related work experience.

Basic Qualifications

• Advanced expertise in Oracle database technologies, including complex SQL scripting and robust PL/SQL development for enterprise‑level applications.
• Deep understanding of database architecture, including schema design, views, triggers, stored procedures, and connectivity management.
• Proven ability to perform database performance testing, tuning and optimization.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling and relational database principles.
• Exceptional attention to detail while balancing independent work and cross‑functional collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GIT and Jenkins.
• Experience with SAP ERP Systems.
• Experience with Teamcenter PLM Systems.
• Experience managing middleware applications.

Salary Range (ULA – Denver)

$ – $ (general guideline; based on experience and qualifications). Employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.
