About the Role
The Atlassian Application Architect & Administrator III is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of Atlassian tools, specifically Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket. This role supports and contributes to the enterprise application strategy, ensuring smooth operation of IT systems and leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Oversee installation, maintenance, and upgrade of Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
- Contribute to the enterprise business or engineering application strategy and ensure the smooth operation of IT systems.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Assess and improve processes, develop improvement plans, and lead implementation.
- Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to define contracted services and ensure they meet business requirements.
- Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Provide technical support and training to end‑users as needed.
- Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to keep the company’s IT infrastructure current.
- Teach, mentor, and coach team members.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience (or Master’s degree with at least 3 years experience).
- Typically 5+ years of related experience.
- Active U.S. TS/SCI clearance required.
- Deep understanding of IT systems, software configuration, CI/CD, engineering, and/or business processes.
- Proficiency in software environments and upgrades.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Proficiency in Atlassian automation tools.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git Lab CI).
- Experience with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, Postgre
SQL). - Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and protocols.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Pay range: $ - $. Base compensation will be determined case‑by‑case.
