Sr Business Intelligence Developer

About the Role

The Senior BI Analytics Developer is responsible for generating ad‑hoc reports and regular datasets for end users using system tools, database, and data warehouse queries and scripts. This role involves integrating data from multiple sources, supporting the enterprise business or engineering application strategy, overseeing software configuration, upgrade, and long‑term operation, and directing the maintenance of software architecture and environments to support the business IT needs.

The position also involves continuously assessing and improving processes to enhance service quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, collaborating with external vendors and service providers, and may include mentoring or coaching other business systems analysts.

• Generate ad‑hoc reports and regular datasets for end users using system tools and database/data‑warehouse queries.
• Integrate data from multiple sources to produce requested or required data elements.
• Support and contribute to the enterprise business or engineering application strategy.
• Oversee configuration, upgrade, and long‑term operation of software and direct the maintenance of software architecture and environments.
• Continuously assess and improve processes to enhance service quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to define contracted services and ensure they meet business requirements.
• Mentor and coach junior team members as needed.

• Minimum Qualifications – Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience; typically 8+ years of related experience; certification varies by business system; comprehensive understanding of IT systems, software configuration, CI/CD, engineering, and/or business processes; proficiency in software environments and upgrades; expert in Power
  
  BI Desktop and Power
  
  BI Report Builder with deep understanding of semantic models and refresh strategies.
• Preferred Qualifications – Advanced experience with SQL and database management; extensive knowledge of data warehousing concepts and tools; expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power
  
  BI, or similar; strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with complex data sets; proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar for data analysis and automation; experience with cloud‑based data platforms and services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud); proven track record of leading data projects and driving business impact; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  
  detail‑oriented focus on data accuracy and quality; experience in mentoring and coaching junior team members.

Pay Range: $ – $. Base compensation is determined on a case‑by‑case basis and may vary based on job‑related knowledge, skills, education, experience, internal equity, and market competitiveness.
