Position Overview
The Doyle Group is seeking an experienced and driven IT Oracle Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of enterprise Oracle initiatives. This individual will oversee the planning, execution, and implementation of Oracle-based projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and quality standards. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in Oracle applications, including Oracle EBS with a focus on Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Financials, along with a proven ability to manage complex, enterprise-scale IT projects.
This role requires a collaborative leader who can effectively coordinate cross-functional teams, engage stakeholders at all levels, and drive projects from initiation through go-live and post-implementation support.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Oracle-related IT projects from initiation through deployment, ensuring successful execution and alignment with business goals.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, budgets, resource allocations, risk assessments, and communication strategies.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party vendors to define project scope, deliverables, and success metrics.
- Manage cross-functional teams including business analysts, developers, solution architects, QA teams, and external partners.
- Monitor project progress, proactively identify risks or roadblocks, and implement mitigation strategies as needed.
- Ensure adherence to Oracle best practices, governance standards, and data integrity requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate testing efforts including system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and production validation activities.
- Oversee change management, training, system cutover, and go-live support activities.
- Provide regular project updates, status reports, and executive-level communications to stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, within budget, and with a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to project delivery methodologies and Oracle platform optimization.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- 7-8+ years of IT project management experience, including at least 3 years leading Oracle-focused projects.
- Strong experience with Oracle ERP, Oracle EBS, or related Oracle enterprise applications.
- Demonstrated success managing enterprise implementations, upgrades, integrations, or migration projects.
- Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models.
- Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and project governance.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive cross-functional collaboration in fast-paced environments.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification.
- Experience supporting Oracle implementation or migration initiatives.
- Hands-on experience coordinating UAT, cutover planning, and go-live support activities.
- Knowledge of Oracle Financials and Supply Chain Management business processes.
- Experience working with distributed teams and third-party consulting partners.
- Hybrid, remote, or on-site work environment based on project and client needs.
- Occasional travel to client locations may be required.
