GIS DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes and Open Shift clusters across cloud and/or on-prem environments
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support containerized application delivery
• Implement infrastructure as code
• Monitor platform performance, availability, and security; respond to incidents and optimize systems
• Develop and maintain platform tooling, automation, and self-service capabilities
• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to improve platform usability and reliability
• Ensure compliance with organizational security and governance standards
• Communicate with multidisciplinary SAFe Agile teams and articulate technical concepts and ideas effectively

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active TS/SCI with CI poly (or willingness to obtain a CI poly)
• Minimum 2 years of total professional experience in a technical support role
• Demonstrated technical experience with Dev Sec Ops
• Demonstrated experience working with Kubernetes in production environments
• Demonstrated experience with Red Hat Open Shift
• Proficiency in container technologies such as Docker or CRI-O
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, Git Lab CI)
• Capable of working effectively with a geographically distributed ops & development team
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with customers and team in written and oral forums
• Willingness to work 90% or as needed in a SCIF environment with some on-call or after-hours onsite support for customer’s mission
• Degree or equivalent demonstrated experience in a technical field

Expertise in designing, deploying, and managing Kubernetes and Open Shift clusters, along with proficiency in CI/CD pipeline development and infrastructure as code. Strong ability to monitor platform performance and ensure compliance with security standards while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
