Cybersecurity Manager

• Design, test, and implement secure operating systems, networks, and security monitoring tools
• Manage IT security systems
• Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments across network, system, and application layers
• Perform incident response and oversee digital forensics
• Develop, implement, and enforce security controls and operational risk mitigations
• Participate in security awareness programs
• Prepare security reports for regulatory agencies
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Security Engineering team, including hiring, performance management, and career growth planning
• Set team priorities, workload, and resourcing in alignment with the enterprise security architecture roadmap
• Own technical standards and quality for secure design, testing, and implementation
• Partner with the Enterprise Security Architect to translate architecture strategy into engineering plans
• Oversee design reviews and secure-by-design practices across infrastructure, network, and application environments
• Direct evaluation, deployment, and lifecycle management of security tools and platforms
• Track effectiveness of security controls and risk mitigations over time
• Liaise with the Enterprise Security Architect, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams to embed security requirements into IT project life cycles
• Communicate risk posture, program status, and incident learnings to senior leadership

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, Information Technology or related Engineering field of study
• 7+ years of experience in a related area
• Relevant experience can substitute for the required educational qualifications; without a degree, a minimum of 11 years of related experience is required
• Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and network architectures
• Experience with risk assessment, incident response, and digital forensics
• Knowledge of technical standards relating to systems security
• Experience administering UNIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems
• Experience with large-scale server systems, thin client architecture, system virtualization, and related peripherals
• Experience with Assessment and Authorization (A&A) requirements under NISPOM, DOD RMF, ICD 503, JSIG, and NIST RMF
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance
• U.S. Citizenship required for employment due to the security clearance requirement
• Advanced certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar preferred
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, cloud security, EDR, NDR, NAC, and DLP platforms preferred
• Working knowledge of AI security practices and AI Security Posture Management (AISPM) preferred
• Experience leveraging AI-driven tools and automation preferred
• Knowledge of DoD, government contracting and/or public auditing policies, standards, and procedures preferred
• Ability to travel as needed
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Demonstrates expertise in cybersecurity principles, risk assessment, incident response, and digital forensics, with a strong focus on secure operating systems and network architectures. Proven ability to lead and mentor security teams while managing IT security systems and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
