Job Overview & Responsibilities
  • Gain experience as Cyber Defenders, Engineers, or Governance, Risk, and Compliance specialists to develop their skills to manage risk and defend networks against an ever-growing threat landscape.
  • Support incident response efforts, including investigating security incidents, documenting findings, and recommending remediation actions.
  • Collaborate on the design and implementation of security solutions to protect the organization's infrastructure and data.
  • Help prepare reports and documentation to communicate security status, compliance findings, and risk mitigation strategies to stakeholders.
  • Support one or more experienced business professionals in performance of assignments, spend time shadowing actual operations, and have unique assignments that support larger projects as well as experience the day-to-day workings of the business side of the aerospace industry.

Interns may perform and/or participate in additional activities/events which help them build a strong network within the ULA community and with fellow interns!

Required Education
  • At minimum completed Freshman year of college or university by the time of the summer internship assignment.
  • High School/GED
Basic Qualifications
  • Must have a minimum college GPA of 2.90 on a 4.00 scale at the time of application; cumulative, no rounding.

  • Must have a valid driver's license and motorized vehicle transportation if assigned an internship in Alabama;
    California;
    Florida; or Pueblo, Colorado. For Denver, Colorado and Washington, DC, motorized transportation is recommended.
Role Specific Qualifications
  • At minimum, actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field from an accredited college or university.
  • Preferred degree focus for this internship is in Cyber Security , Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Information or Computer Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics, or relevant field of study.
  • Must have plans to be enrolled in classes during Fall Semester 2027.
  • Ability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks during the summer of 2027.
  • Must have an interest in learning any of the following:
    • Endpoint Protection stack
    • Firewall configuration and rule logic
    • Risk Management Frameworks and Security Plans
    • Email security systems
    • Intrusion detection and prevention systems
    • Enterprise Security, Cyber Security and user access management
    • Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) Systems
    • Threat Hunting
    • Digital Forensics and Incident Response
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
  • Effective presentation, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to complete an internship at any of the below ULA's locations:
    • Denver, CO
Summary Salary Range

CO: $23.10 - $37.95

Please note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon a candidate's experience and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in addition to base pay.
