Position Overview
We are hiring an Underwriter II to evaluate and manage medium‑sized commercial accounts. This role includes underwriting, client consultations, renewal processing, and risk analysis, supporting our broader goal of effective insurance and risk management.
Key Responsibilities- Underwrite property and liability policies for mid‑sized accounts
- Perform risk analysis and pricing for new/renewal business
- Conduct site visits and renewal reviews
- Consult with clients on coverage protection and uninsured exposures
- Prepare certificates of insurance and risk mitigation strategies
- Troubleshoot system data and perform loss trend analyses
- Represent the organization at conferences and meetings
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 4–6 years of relevant commercial insurance experience
- Property & Casualty Producer License (or ability to obtain)
- Valid Driver’s License
- CIC, CRM, or ARM certifications
The ideal candidate is a mid‑level underwriter with strong communication and analytical skills. They enjoy client interaction, team collaboration, and are driven by meaningful work in public service.
