Inside Property Adjuster – Theft Team

• Manage assigned low- to moderate-complexity property insurance theft claims caseloads
• Investigate claim damages using information from insureds, third parties, and external resources
• Analyze coverage, policy terms, prior loss history, case law, and state laws and regulations
• Identify coverage concerns, liability exposure, discrepancies, and subrogation potential
• Determine and create Special Investigation Unit referrals when appropriate
• Negotiate and settle low- to moderate-complexity claims within authority limits
• Coordinate with management on settlement amounts outside authority limits
• Partner with vendors and internal business partners to facilitate claims resolution
• Coordinate with external regulators to ensure documentation and compliance
• Maintain accurate, thorough, and current claim file documentation
• Use estimating technology platforms and virtual inspection tools to prepare and manage claims estimates
• Address jurisdictional challenges, legislation, and construction considerations
• Support workload surges and catastrophe response operations, including on-call and work outside normal hours
• Travel for catastrophe deployments with minimal notice when assigned
• Identify, measure, monitor, and control risks in accordance with risk and compliance policies

• High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma
• 1 year of customer service, military leadership, construction-related industry, insurance experience and/or experience handling low-complexity property claims
• Knowledge of estimating losses using Xactimate or similar tools and platforms
• Demonstrated negotiation, investigation, communication, and conflict resolution skills
• Working knowledge and understanding of claims contracts, case law, and state laws and regulations
• Ability to prioritize and multitask while navigating multiple business applications
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the year, local and non-local, and/or work catastrophe duty when needed
• Acquisition and maintenance of an insurance adjuster license within 90 days and 3 attempts
• No current or future need for immigration support or visa sponsorship
• 1+ years of experience with Guidewire Claim Center (what sets you apart)

• Bachelor's Degree (what sets you apart)
• May need to meet USAA safe driving requirements, including driving-record verification and possession of a valid driver's license
• May need to crouch, stoop, inspect confined spaces, and access attics and crawl spaces
• May need to lift at least 35 pounds, including a ladder
• May need to climb ladders, traverse roofs, and work at heights while inspecting roofs and attics

Demonstrates expertise in managing property insurance theft claims, including investigation, negotiation, and compliance with state laws and regulations. Proficient in using estimating technology and maintaining thorough documentation while effectively collaborating with internal and external partners.
