Role OverviewThe Supplier Delivery Leader will establish and manage supplier delivery commitments, monitor performance, identify risks, and drive recovery actions to ensure the right material is available at the right time to support production. This role will work closely with Procurement Buyers, Supply Chain Planning, Assembly, Manufacturing Programs, Engineering, Quality, and suppliers to proactively manage schedule changes, constraints, shortages, and delivery risks.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, persistent, and comfortable across external and internal teams to drive accountability and results. This position requires the ability to understand the assembly build plan, material requirements, supplier lead times, capacity constraints, and production priorities.
What You’ll Do...- Serve as the primary Procurement contact for supplier delivery issues affecting Assembly and Operations.
- Partner with Assembly and Manufacturing Programs to understand daily and weekly production priorities.
- Participate in production readiness and build-plan reviews.
- Identify material shortages that could impact assembly schedules and coordinate recovery and problem-solving actions
- Work with Buyers to determine appropriate commercial or supplier actions.
- Partner with Quality and Engineering when quality or technical issues are contributing to supplier delays.
- Provide clear communication regarding supplier delivery status, risks, and recovery plans.
- Own on-time delivery performance across commodities and suppliers
- Monitor supplier performance against committed delivery dates, quantities, and priorities.
- Proactively identify late, at-risk, and potentially constrained purchase orders before they impact production.
- Escalate significant delivery risks and recurring supplier performance issues to Beehive leadership.
- Develop and maintain supplier delivery scorecards and performance metrics; identify performance trends and recurring issues
- Track On-Time Delivery (OTD), schedule attainment, past-due orders, commitment accuracy, recovery performance, and responsiveness.
- Develop a strong understanding of the company's master production schedule, assembly build plan, and near-term production priorities.
- Maintain visibility to open orders, past-due orders, and future demand.
- Proactively identify supplier delivery risks before they become production shortages.
- Develop and execute supplier recovery plans for late or at-risk material.
- Determine root causes of delivery issues, including capacity, labor, material shortages, quality issues, tooling constraints, scheduling, transportation, or supplier planning.
- Drive daily or weekly recovery actions for critical suppliers and parts.
- Utilize supplier visits, escalation meetings, production reviews, and other tools to recover critical deliveries.
- Work with Procurement Buyers and Supply Chain Planning to identify capacity gaps.
- Develop mitigation strategies such as schedule adjustments, capacity increases, alternate suppliers, tooling investments, stocking strategies, or purchase order actions.
