The General Maintenance Specialist supports the day-to‑day reliability of our facility by completing general repairs, preventative maintenance, and routine upkeep across laboratory, administrative, and warehouse areas. This role helps ensure the building, utilities, and support equipment remain in excellent working order to minimize downtime and maintain a compliant environment.
Key Responsibilities Maintenance & Preventative Care- Perform routine and urgent facility repairs and upkeep, including doors, drywall, painting, minor floor repairs, and basic plumbing.
- Complete minor electrical tasks such as replacing light fixtures, ballasts, and outlets, within training and applicable local requirements.
- Conduct basic preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, including filter changes and coil cleaning, and monitor utility systems such as water heaters and basic drainage.
- Maintain and repair office furniture, fixtures, common‑area appliances, and lab support equipment to support day‑to‑day operations.
- Assist with moving equipment and furniture as needed.
- Assist with routine checks of safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, and exit signage.
- Perform work safely and in alignment with company policies and cGMP expectations, especially near compounding areas.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and completed work orders.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Familiarity with the maintenance requirements of a regulated environment (pharmaceutical, healthcare, or food production) is highly desirable.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose common mechanical and facility issues independently.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize repair tasks.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and stand/walk for extended periods.
