Strong candidates will have directly led multiple branches, markets, or locations with responsibility for:
- A sizable hourly or frontline workforce deployed at customer locations
- Regional P&L performance
- Labor management, staffing, scheduling, and service delivery
- Executive client relationships and contract retention
- Multiple operational leaders across a broad geography
Relevant backgrounds may include contract security, facilities services, janitorial services, staffing, logistics, field services, or another comparable outsourced-services environment.
Corporate operations experience alone - particularly in SaaS, software, retail, or another non-field-service business is not the experience required for this position.
The opportunityA leading national provider of security and facility services is seeking a Regional Director of Operations to lead its Arizona, Nevada, and Colorado markets.
This executive-level operator will oversee approximately $80 million in annual revenue and a multi-branch organization of roughly 1,000 employees
. The Regional Director will own regional performance, profitability, client retention, leadership development, and growth.
This is a hands-on field leadership position - not a corporate strategy or headquarters-based operations role.
What you'll own- Lead regional Directors, Branch Managers, and operational teams across three states
- Maintain full regional P&L accountability, including revenue, labor costs, margins, and forecasting
- Ensure consistent staffing, scheduling, service quality, and contract execution
- Build executive relationships with key clients and protect client retention
- Identify and correct operational or financial performance issues
- Recruit, coach, and retain high-performing branch and regional leaders
- Partner with Business Development on pricing, proposals, presentations, and new opportunities
- Generate organic growth within existing client relationships
- Support regional acquisitions and post-acquisition integration when needed
- Translate company strategy into measurable regional execution
- 8-12+ years of progressive operational leadership experience
- Significant multi-location or multi-market leadership experience
- Direct ownership of a substantial P&L
- Experience leading a large, distributed, labor-intensive service workforce
- Strong command of labor management, client service, and operational profitability
- Executive-level client relationship and communication skills
- A record of developing leaders and improving underperforming operations
- Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field
- Security-services experience is preferred, but highly comparable outsourced-services experience will also be considered
- Residence in Arizona, Nevada, or Colorado
This position requires regional travel Tuesday through Thursday each week
. Travel will include regular visits to branches, client sites, and other locations throughout Arizona, Nevada, and Colorado.
