Wire Harness Assembly Technician – $24–$32/hr
Looking for experienced Wiring & Cable Assembly Technicians!
We are hiring Wire Harness Assembly Technicians for a growing manufacturing team. This is a great opportunity for candidates with hands-on experience in wire harness assembly, cable assembly, crimping, stripping, soldering, and electrical assembly.
Pay
- Level II: $24–$28/hour
- Level III: $28–$32/hour
Schedule
Monday–Friday – 1st Shift
Available start times:
- 6:00 AM
- 6:30 AM
- 7:00 AM
- 7:30 AM
Employees work an 8-hour shift from their selected start time.
What You’ll Do
- Build and assemble electrical wire harnesses and cable assemblies
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions
- Cut, strip, and prepare wires and cables
- Perform hand crimping on 8–28 AWG wire
- Use crimping machines, stripping equipment, and hand tools
- Perform basic soldering, including leaded and lead-free solder
- Identify wire types, lead wires, and lead-free components
- Inspect materials and completed assemblies for quality
- Complete potting tasks involving boots, connectors, and breakouts
- Build assemblies according to specifications and workmanship standards
- Maintain an organized and safe workstation
What We’re Looking For
- 1+ year of wire harness assembly experience required
- 1+ year of soldering experience required
- Experience with crimping, wire stripping, cable preparation, and electrical assembly
- Ability to read assembly drawings and electrical schematics
- Experience using hand tools, inspection tools, and measuring equipment
- Basic knowledge of IPC-620
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Experience
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 experience
- J-STD-001 certification
- Contract manufacturing experience
- Aerospace manufacturing experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and fine-motor movements
