Reports directly to the Foster & Transfer Supervisor. Reports indirectly to the Behavior Manager. Supervises Foster & Transfer volunteers. Working relationships include Behavior and Enrichment, Veterinary Services, Volunteer and Humane Education, the Supervisor and Management Team, and other members of the Organization. General

Purpose:

Responsible for coordinating the Organization’s animal foster care and animal transfer programs. Supervises department volunteers.

Foster and Transfer Coordinators are responsible for the daily needs of the Organization’s animal foster care and animal transfer programs. This position supervises a large number of foster, transport and shelter volunteers. This is a full-time, hourly position. The schedule for the position is generally Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday with availability on evenings, nights, weekends, special events, emergencies and holidays as required.

This position will regularly travel to other organizations and to foster homes. Travel can be in and out of state.

Expected hiring rate is $20.50/hour.
