Job SummaryAs an Operating Room Clinical Nurse Coordinator (Charge RN), you will be part of an interdisciplinary team under the supervision of the unit’s director, coordinating all functions in the OR Department on your designated shifts and providing patient care and direction to other staff.
Responsibilities- Act as a resource person and liaison between specialty team members, other staff, surgeons, and vendors.
- Assist with the overall management of patient care in the OR, supervising all staff, evaluating performance, counseling and coaching staff, hiring, and day‑to‑day operational supervision.
- Ensure department compliance with state, federal, and healthcare regulatory agencies.
- Collaborate with other Clinical Nurse Coordinators to ensure that surgical procedures performed by specialty teams or other staff are thoroughly prepared prior to surgery.
- Verify the accuracy of preference cards and the OR schedule.
- Work closely with surgery schedulers to streamline and confirm the flow of the OR schedule.
- Provide call coverage as required.
- Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or an active multi‑state RN license.
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
- At least 2 years of acute‑care experience as an Operating Room RN.
- Previous charge nurse or service coordinator experience.
