The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in patient care by contributing to the nursing process and providing education and support under RN supervision.

• Under RN supervision, assess patients' physical, psychological, and social dimensions in the Health Care Unit and housing units, contributing to individualized treatment planning and consulting with RNs and staff as needed.
• Implement treatment programs directed by Health Care Practitioners, administer medications including IV therapy (if certified), and perform diagnostic tests according to protocols.
• Collaborate in controlled substance counts, adhere to safety procedures and standard precautions, and respond to codes or health emergencies within guidelines.
• Assist in medical or minor surgical procedures, implement nutrition and therapeutic diet plans, and document nursing encounters using SOAP charting for effective communication with staff, physicians, and other personnel.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings and training sessions, demonstrating commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to policies and procedures.

Education

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

Experience

• Prefer a minimum of one (1) year clinic experience.

Licenses/Certifications

• Have and maintain current licensure as a Licensed Practical/Licensed Vocational Nurse within the state of employment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.

Shift: Wed‑Fri, alternating Thur‑Sat 1700‑0530. Final date to receive applications to this position is May 15th, 2026. Final date to receive applications may be extended contingent upon applicants’ volume.
