Associate Director, RN Flight Services

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the Flight Services
• Contribute to development of services, programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures
• Support implementation and management of operational and capital budgets
• Provide appropriate representation at meetings and on hospital committees
• Collaborate with Medical Staff and Clinical Staff regarding flight programs and services
• Continually evaluate performance relative to need for improvement of processes
• Manage staff resources by overseeing the recruiting, selecting, hiring and orienting of qualified individuals
• Develop and monitor applicable policies and procedures
• Report directly to the designated Administrative position within the facility

• BSN or MSN required
• 3-5 years of experience relevant to patient population
• Current RN license in state of practice
• BLS certification
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, CFRN (can substitute CEN or CCRN), and CMTE within 2 years of hire
• Ability to develop and maintain working relationships with physicians, staff, patients, and families
• Knowledge of the requirements of applicable regulatory and accreditation agencies
• Excellent human relations and communication skills
• May require possession of a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under the company auto insurance policy.

Demonstrates expertise in overseeing flight services operations, managing budgets, and developing policies while fostering collaborative relationships with medical and clinical staff. Holds a strong background in regulatory compliance and staff management within a healthcare setting.
