Responsibilities

• Assist and supervise the day‑to‑day nursing activities during the night shift, ensuring care is delivered in line with applicable federal, state, and local guidelines and the directions of the Director of Nursing.
• Provide direct resident care, monitor health status, administer medications as prescribed, and document interventions and outcomes accurately.
• Assess resident needs, respond to changes in condition, and communicate updates to the charge nurse and attending physician as required.
• Maintain safety, sanitation, and infection control standards; support falls prevention and resident safety initiatives; respond promptly to call bells and emergent situations.
• Coordinate with licensed and unlicensed staff to ensure care plans are followed and quality of life for residents is preserved throughout the shift.
• Complete required documentation and ensure continuity of care across shifts.
