Registered Veterinary Technician – Part Time
Mile High Animal Hospital
Aurora, CO
Compensation:
Hourly pay starting at $23–$27/hour, negotiable based on credentials and experience. The final rate will consider skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Shift/schedule:
Fridays from 7:30am-6:00pm, Saturday from 7:30am-2:30pm, & some weekdays.

Mile High Animal Hospital, a proud Thrive Pet Healthcare partner, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Veterinary Technician to join our full‑time team. We provide primary care services for dogs and cats across Aurora, Centennial, Denver, and Parker and are proud to be AAHA‑accredited, Feline‑Friendly, and Low‑Stress Handling certified.

What You’ll Do
As a Registered Veterinary Technician, you’ll play a vital role in delivering gold‑standard patient care by:
- Supporting veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures
- Assisting with surgeries in accordance with Colorado’s Veterinary Practice Act
- Advocating for patients while supporting efficient hospital flow
- Communicating with clients about individualized pet health concerns, medications, and treatment plans
- Maintaining accurate, comprehensive medical records
- Obtaining relevant patient histories and updating medical charts
- Using safe restraint techniques and following low‑stress handling protocols
- Maintaining clean, organized, and sanitary exam rooms, treatment areas, and labs
- Mentoring and supporting fellow team members
What We’re Looking For
Required Experience & Credentials
- Active LVT, RVT, or CVT license (current and in good standing)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical veterinary technician or assistant experience with direct patient care
- Commitment to empathetic, gold‑standard veterinary medicine
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- A positive, growth‑oriented mindset
